Equal Pay Day in Fort Wayne

Mayor Henry proclaimed March 15, 2023 as "Equal Pay Day" in Fort Wayne, recognizing how long it takes for women to make the same wages as men from the prior year. The date is symbolic and women of color take even longer into the year to reach equal pay.

Fort Wayne will be a City for ALL when we have equal pay for equal work. We all want to be respected, appreciated, and valued. Paraphrasing a friend, "when we lift each other up, we all rise."
